Town Operations under this Unprecedented Emergency Pandemic.

  1. The # 1 priority of all, for the health and safety of you, family, neighbors and our entire community, is to please respect & practice Social Distancing, wear masks as appropriate and practice social hygiene.  We must follow these simple steps to slow the spread of this disease to extend the time necessary to treat, hopefully provide a cure/vaccination and recover.
  2. The Supervisor has published two Executive Orders (EO)s. One Placing our Town in a State of Emergency and the other allowing me and our Board to utilized all our available resources to help combat the effects of this pandemic. The EOs may also provide justification for State and Federal Aide.
  3. The Town Hall is OPEN to walk-ins, but we now have an intercom system in place.   Notice has been placed on our front door, with instructions and phone numbers on the entrance table.  If by chance the front door is locked, we do have an operational doorbell, someone will assist you.
  4. We are one deep in all of our Town Hall Departments.  So, we are following best protocols to provide for daily operations as the priority dictates.
  5. Our Highway employees are back to full operations.
  6. Our Emergency Management Staff is ready to assist as needed.
  7. Our Town Board will still meet on the prescribed Thursday Evenings. We are now airing all Town Board Meetings LIVE on ZOOM. There will be a new link given on our website.
  8. If any of you or your family think you have been compromised by this disease, please call your primary physician or the COVID-19 Hotlines:  NYS:  1-888-364-3065 or Saratoga County Public Health 24 hrs:  518-584-7460

LOST DOG ALERT

Comment on Facebook

Please contact me right away if he’s seen. We are very worried.

Put something outside with your scent on it, and food! Don’t delay in making flyers and posting nearby and in high traffic areas. Post on Pawboost, Lostmydoggie.com, and Nextdoor for a large area of coverage. Also post on local garage sale fb sites, and on lost and found sites in your area. Call shelters and animal control. Don’t stop looking! Good luck

SCHOOL TAXES: Please keep in mind that the Town does NOT collect school taxes. Here is some information from the Stillwater School District website.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Stillwater Central School District will not be offering an in-person tax payment option at the district or at Ballston Spa National Bank for the 2020-21 school tax collection. Payments will only be accepted through the mail (postmark determines the date). All residents will receive an envelope to mail payments to:

Carrie Urdang, Tax Collector
Stillwater CSD
P.O. Box 14855
Albany, NY 12212

New this year, you can also pay your tax bill by credit card online here. *Please note, there is a one-time transaction fee of $.50 and 3.5% fee paid by the taxpayer directly to the vendor.

Please keep in mind that tax bills should arrive to your home in late August. Thank you for your attention, understanding and cooperation.

If you have any questions, please contact Carrie Urdang, School Tax Collector at curdang@scsd.org or (518) 373-6100, ext 30010.

The address is for Stillwater CSD ....but then it says Albany NY12212... Why would it not go to Stillwater School Stillwater NY?

What is wrong with the bank? You use the tubes!

So I either need to pay a fee to use my card or pay for a certified mail (I have had tax checks lost before) ..... seems unacceptable that I have to pay to send payment for my taxes.
